That Girl Lay Lay is a kids show Multi-Camera Sitcom. The cast includes Alaya “Lay Lay” High, Gabrielle Nevaeh, Tiffany Daniels, Tommy Hobson, and Peyton R. Perrine III .
The premise of the show follows when Sadie’s wish comes true and Lay Lay magically comes to life, the two friends learn that when they are together, they can achieve anything, navigate life as teenagers, and discover who they really are.
Filmed at the Radford Studios lot in Studio City, CA. The show was produced by and for distribution on Nickelodeon.
Created and Executive Produced by David A. Arnold, who also served as Showrunner. There were rotating Directors throughout Season 2.
Unfortunately David unexpected passed away during episode 15 and Production was shut down for 9 weeks for the writers to hire another showrunner and finishing writing the rest of the season.
I was hired to replace the Production Coordinator who completed the first 12 episodes and left to return to their returning series final season. I started during episode 13 and completed thru episode 29. The Producer was Natalie Duvoison, and Patty Gary-Cox. I was hired in Aug 2022 and ended May 2023 due to the WGA and SAG Strike.
