I worked as a Barista part-time at 2 different Starbucks locations while in College.

The first location was in Naperville, IL while a student at College of DuPage. And the second was in Chicago, IL while a student at DePaul University.

My responsibilities included working the Register taking orders and taking digital or cash payments. I remember this was back when we had to learn all the order cup markings, before the sticker machines.

Cleaning up the front of house, rearranging tales and chairs, mopping the floors, cleaning the bathrooms.
Working the drink bar, making custom coffee and tea drinks, I learned sequencing method to be the most time efficient.

Also at the Naperville store, we had a drive thru, while working the drive thru station, taking orders thru a headset, and taking payment at the window, then handing off completed drinks in a timely manner.

While at the Chicago store was back when they started offering alcoholic beverages during the evening hours, so even though I mostly worked store opening shifts, I was trained about the special evening offerings. It was where I learned how to open a bottle of wine, I had just recently turned 21.

Here is a photo from me working there:
